At NKINK Tattoo Studio, we believe that the process behind a tattoo is as critical as the final aesthetic result. Operating as a private, appointment-only studio in Bern, we prioritize a structured, transparent, and professional workflow.

Whether you are embarking on a large-scale project or a delicate fine-line piece, our 8-step process ensures technical precision, adherence to Swiss hygiene standards, and a result that meets the highest artistic expectations.

Step 1: Book a consultation

The engagement begins with a mandatory 15-minute introductory consultation. This ensures alignment between the client’s vision and the studio’s artistic direction.

• Availability: 11:30 – 11:45 | 15:00 – 15:15 | 18:45 – 19:00

Step 2: Send Documentation & Briefing

Following the booking, clients are required to submit a comprehensive project brief to info@nkink.ch or via encrypted message to +41 79 428 0676. 

Required Information:

• Anatomical placement
• Dimensions (in cm)
• Preferred stylistic direction (Fine Line, Realistic, Abstract, etc.)
• Reference imagery and conceptual inspiration

Step 3: Short Meeting (15 min / Complimentary)

This session serves as a technical assessment to evaluate project feasibility and establish a professional rapport.

• Scope: General inquiries, deposit processing, and administrative scheduling.
• Note: This session does not include design drafting or formal documentation.

Step 4: NEW Project Consultation (60 min / 100 CHF)

For complex or custom concepts, an in-depth consultation is required. This professional hour is dedicated to conceptual development and administrative preparation.

• Credit Policy: The 100 CHF fee is applied as a credit toward the final tattoo price if the appointment is finalized within 6 months.
• Booking Note: Reserve a 15-minute slot online and request a manual extension via WhatsApp.

Step 5: Extra Designing Session (Optional / 100 CHF)

Large-scale or highly detailed projects may require a dedicated design session. We utilize this time to finalize the flow of the design against the body’s natural contours.

• Objective: Ensuring 100% design accuracy and placement confidence prior to the tattoo date.
• Note: Final design refinements are rendered on the day of the appointment to ensure perfect fit.

Step 6: Tattoo Day – Professional Implementation

The tattoo session takes place in a sterile, private environment. Our studio operates under strict Swiss safety regulations to ensure client health and optimal pigment retention.

• Rate: 200 CHF per hour.
• Environment: A focused, one-on-one session without the distractions of a public walk-in shop. A time estimate is provided prior to the commencement of work.

Step 7: Post-Procedure “Healing Check” (Complimentary)

Professional tattooing does not end when the needle stops. 6–12 weeks post-procedure, we conduct a physical assessment of the healed tissue to ensure the integrity of the lines and saturation.

Step 8: Refinement & Touch-Up (Optional / Complimentary)

To guarantee the longevity of our work, minor refinements are provided free of charge if performed within the recommended healing timeframe. This ensures that every piece leaving NKINK Studio remains a masterpiece for life.

NKINK Studio: Professional Terms & Conditions

1. Deposit & Reservation Policy (Step 4)

• Commitment Fee: Deposit is required to secure any tattoo appointment. This amount is deducted from the final cost of the tattoo session (or the final session in the case of multi-part projects).
• Rescheduling: We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for rescheduling. Failure to provide notice within this timeframe will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.
• Credit Validity: The 100 CHF New Project Consultation credit remains valid for 6 months from the date of the meeting.

2. Design & Intellectual Property (Step 5)

• Ownership: All custom designs created by Noemi Kovacs remain the intellectual property of NKINK Tattoo Studio. Designs are not sent digitally before the appointment to protect the integrity of the work.
• Final Adjustments: Adjustment to size and placement are included on the day of the appointment. Significant conceptual changes requested on the day of the tattoo may require a rescheduling and session will be charged as designing time.

3. Health & Hygiene Protocol (Step 6)

• Physical Condition: Clients must not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or blood-thinning medication. We reserve the right to refuse service if the client’s physical condition poses a risk to safety or tattoo quality.
• Medical Transparency: It is the client’s responsibility to disclose any skin conditions, allergies (especially to nickel or latex), or blood-borne illnesses during the consultation phase.
• Safety Standards: NKINK operates in strict accordance with the Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office (FSVO) regulations regarding tattoo inks and sterile equipment.

4. Aftercare & Guarantee (Step 7 & 8)

• Client Responsibility: The longevity of a tattoo depends significantly on post-procedural care. NKINK provides detailed aftercare instructions; failure to follow these protocols may void the complimentary touch-up guarantee.
• Touch-Up Window: Complimentary touch-ups are valid only if booked within 12 weeks of the original appointment. This does not apply to tattoos on high-wear areas (e.g., fingers, palms, or feet) unless specifically agreed upon.
